The Water Environment Federation (WEF) Innovative Technology Awards, which include one award for each of the four categories - collection systems, instrumentation, process equipment, and solids handling & disposal, are presented annually to WEF associate members who have introduced new innovative products or services related to the construction, operation, or maintenance of treatment facilities.
Accusonic® Technologies is being recognized in the instrumentation category for its Accusonic 7510+® flow meter technology. The device uses multiple chordal path, transit-time technology with application specific transducers to provide significant flow metering capability across a large range of pipes and channels as well as cross sectional temperature data.

August 17, 2007 - New Accusonic Flowmeter System Measures Up to 64 Points
Accusonic® Technologies, a Division of ADS® LLC, today announces the only flowmeter system with 18-Path flow measurement capability meeting ASME PTC 18-2002. The Accusonic Model 7700-7720™ is the largest integrated real-time flowmeter network system available with transit-time technology for hydroelectric and fossil power plant applications.
The new Accusonic Model 7720 Transit-Time Flowmeter measures up to 10 paths from a single console. It can also be networked into a flowmeter system with the Model 7700 Master Control Unit, connecting up to a total of sixteen flowmeters. Each flowmeter in the system can monitor four separate pipes and/or channels, providing an integrated flow measurement system for up to 64 separate flow measurement and monitoring sections.
October 17, 2006 - Accusonic Introduces Model 797 Permanent Clamp-On Transit-Time Flowmeter
Accusonic® Technologies, a Division of ADS® LLC, today announces a permanent Clamp-on Transit-Time Flowmeter, the Accusonic Model 797. This is a complement to the Accusonic Model 787 Portable Clamp-on Transit-Time Flowmeter introduced in July. The Model 797 is a versatile system that measures flow rate and total flow in full pipes ranging from 1 inch to 236 inches without pipe disturbance or pressure loss.
The Model 797 is capable of 1-path, 2-path, or 4-path flow measurement to reduce the affects of distorted flow profiles and cross flow. There are no moving parts to break or wear, thus minimizing the need for regular maintenance and repair. With an accuracy rate of +/-1% to 2%, it is ideal for high-accuracy applications in a wide range of liquids and pipe materials including ultrapure water, potable water, raw sewage, effluent, and sludge.

The Accusonic Model 797 is powered by 90 - 264 VAC 50/60 Hz, with 24 VDC optional. The console is housed in a wall mounted enclosure and rated for IP 66 and NEMA-4X areas. The keypad and display give the operator access to user-friendly menus for easy operation, and diagnostics. The transducers are mounted to the outside of the pipe using a clamping fixture for fast and reliable installation.
